instant EFT (SID)

You can pay online using instant EFT (facilitated by SID 'Secure Instant Deposit'), a safe, simple & speedy assisted EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) which allows you to make payment directly to kulula using your existing Internet banking facility. Once you select instant EFT as a payment option you’ll have one hour to complete the transaction.

Instant EFT is hassle-free; your payment is processed online instantly with no ‘wait period’ required for payment confirmation.

Instant EFT is compatible for all browsers including Firefox, Chrome, Safari & Opera including Windows and non-Windows users (Linux or Macintosh operating systems).

How to use instant EFT

Don't panic if you've never used instant EFT before, it's easy. To start off with you'll be asked to run the application and will be directed to your chosen bank site where you can logon to make payment (select Nedbank, ABSA, Standard Bank or First National Bank) kulula's banking details and flight reference will be shown on the payments page in the correct fields. Once you have completed the payment and received the receipt, you'll be ready to fly - no need to hassle with faxing confirmation of payment to kulula. Less fuss and no admin required. Payment may be made from your current account or from your credit card (if it is set up on internet banking for payments).

Important pointers:

Instant EFT is available for payment of flights up to 3 hours prior to departure. If you are making payment within this time period, please select credit card as your payment method.
Instant EFT is only available for online transactions.
You cannot use instant EFT to pay for flight changes online. Flight changes must be made and paid for via our Contact Centre.
Instant EFT is not available as a payment method at our Contact Centre, so never provide our staff with your bank account details and pin number for instant EFT.
SID automatically stores your kulula booking reference in the payment field. So you don't have to remember a reference number or worry that it is inserted correctly.
Once you have selected Instant EFT (facilitated by SID) and clicked ‘pay now’ you will be guided through the Once-Off payment process by instructions displayed in a yellow bar on top of your screen while you navigate through your existing internet banking facility.
Once payment is successful, you will be asked to logoff and will be returned to the kulula.com confirmation page.

You are able to pay at our airport offices for flight changes or other payments such as excess baggage. Payment can be made by credit card, cash or debit card.

now using travelbank

All kulula moolah has been conveniently transferred to a travelbank account, now existing jetsetters can pay with kulula moolah by using their new travelbank accounts. Jetsetters would have received an email with their log in details and password.

If you're a kulula credit cardholder you’re able to pay or part pay with the kulula moolah you’ve earned with every swipe. The kulula moolah you’ve earned is deposited into your travelbank account on a daily basis.

If you are not a kulula credit cardholder but still have kulula moolah you’re able to pay or part pay with your travelbank account and the best part is it will be valid until the 22 December 2012. We’ve extended all kulula moolah earned by an additional 6 months from the 22 June 2012.

We’re able to credit money into a travelbank account, this can be used to pay or part pay for your flights only. If you’ve received compensation from us, have a kulula eVoucher or gift card or if you’re a kulula credit cardholder and you’re earning kulula moolah. Your travelbank account can be used along with any credit card payment.

You are able to pay / part pay your Discovery Vitality flight booking using a travelbank account. That means your kulula moolah can be used towards a kulula flight.

Wow, someone loves you so much they bought you a kulula eVoucher or gift card. As from the 23rd June 2012, you’ll no longer be able to redeem these vouchers online, but not all is lost. The vouchers can still be used towards a flight with us, we just need to convert the credits to a travelbank account. If you don’t already have a travelbank account, create a kulula ID and give us a call. You’ll be booking your kulula flight in no time.

Steps to redeem a voucher:

Create a kulula ID, if you don’t already have one
Give us a call on 0861 KULULA (585852)
Have your unique eVoucher / gift card code ready
Voila - we'll convert your credits to a travelbank account

How to pay by bank deposit:
Go to your bank, fill in a bank deposit slip using your unique 6 DIGIT kulula.com booking confirmation code as your REFERENCE (not your name or other detail, just the exactly matched 6 digit reference please). Make payment into one of the bank accounts listed below. Any booking not paid for within 24 hours will be cancelled. Re-booking your flights may result in a higher fare.

It is vital that the amount you pay corresponds with the amount that appears on your booking confirmation (if you pay a different amount, we won't be able to reconcile your payment and your booking may be cancelled).

Keep your copy of the deposit slip/payment confirmation in the event that it is required as proof of payment. Please also make payment from your bank to a corresponding bank account where possible (i.e. ABSA account to kulula ABSA account); where your bank is not the same then you may select any kulula bank account. Please note that Discovery Vitality bookings can not be placed on hold and paid for later.

Important note:
We're not able to accept bank deposit payments for flights departing within 72 hours. So if you need to fly within 3 days please select instant EFT (if you have internet banking) or rebook and pay by credit card. Should you require assistance please call our Contact Centre on 0861 KULULA (585852).
