Checking in for domestic flights
- You'll need your valid government-issued South African ID book/Smart Card, driver's license or valid passport and booking code to check-in at the domestic terminal. Learn more

- Your British Airways reference number is attached to your travel reservation PDF.
- Check-in at the British Airways (operated by Comair) counters 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
- The check-in counters and bag drop close 45 minutes prior to departure time.
- Online check-in opens 24 hours before the departure of your flight and closes 2 hours before departure.
- Familiarise yourself with the baggage restrictions to avoid any hassles at the airport.

Baggage rulesThe free baggage allowance is one bag weighing 23kg for customers flying in Traveller (economy class). Club (business class) customers are entitled to two bags at 32kg each.
Purchase an extra bag in advance and save by logging in to www.ba.com, with your booking reference.
Note: Firearms are prohibited on all British Airways (operated by Comair) flights.
Check-in rules and optionsWith your reference number you can check-in online at least 24 hours before your flight departs but no later than 2 hours prior to departure. You can use the self-service kiosks at the airport to check-in and print your boarding pass. Self-service check-in will close 45 minutes prior to departure time.
Bags must be dropped off at least 45 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights.
Changes and cancellationsDepending on your ticket you can make certain changes to your booking. One online change is possible and further changes can be made by calling our Contact Centre KULULA (585852). Changes carry a fee of R200 on restricted fares and R399 on semi-flexiable fares including the difference between the old and new price.
Name changes are not permitted.
Unaccompanied MinorsTo arrange for children under 12 years of age travelling alone call our Contact Centre on 0861 KULULA (585852).
