Johannesburg, 20 August 2018 - South Africa’s most fun airline kulula.com is proud to announce another innovation to delight their fans, kulula Q-Jump. The latest product innovation from kulula will make flying with its green machines even more popular from August 2018.

Being the first low-cost carrier on South African soil, kulula knows the importance to lead from the front, “early bird catches the worm” kinda style and therefore the airline has put its forward-thinking foundations to good use, by implementing the Q-Jump product to give their fans even more choice.

Q-Jump will give kulula fans the opportunity to speed through the boarding process as the green carpet gets rolled out for them when they ‘jump the boarding queue’ for flight departures, as well as give their checked baggage (and any ‘extra bags’ purchased) “Very-Important-Bag status’, meaning their bags will also jump the queue and be among the first to arrive at their destination.

“In a recent study by Tripadvisor in May 2018, it was reported that it is getting increasingly evident that different generations don’t see eye-to-eye when it comes to social standards especially when queuing. We also know from our own research that for some of our customers, the process of ‘waiting in line’ to board a plane can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety. This is especially true for nervous flyers or for corporate travellers who would welcome some extra time to add finishing touches to a business pitch. These types of customer needs fuelled the idea for the development of our Q-Jump product.Q-Jump provides an innovative spin on the traditional airline priority boarding product,” says Shaun Pozyn, Head of Marketing at kulula.com.

For passengers who would like to have first dibs at experiencing the new product, they will be able to purchase it for 70 bucks at the time of making their flight booking online, through our contact centre or at our Airport Ticket Sales counters. The product will be limited to a select number of seats allocated per flight, making sure kulula fans and their prized possessions feel super special when stepping on to the plane and when arriving at the other end.

“We continually look at how the needs of our passengers change and how as a long-standing travel partner we can continue to satisfy and enlighten our fans on route to their business meeting or holiday destinations,” he adds.

Q-Jump is currently being rolled out on all the kulula routes across South Africa.
