Johannesburg, 1 March 2013: Today, South Africa’s most loved airline, kulula.com, took its maiden flight into East London Airport from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. An official aircraft fire tender christened this first flight and signaled the opening of the new route.
It’s a quick one and a half hour trip from O.R. Tambo International Airport on kulula.com’s new 189-seater Boeing 737-800. There will be two flights daily flying in and out of East London, to and from O.R. Tambo International.
Shaun Pozyn, Marketing Manager: kulula.com says, “We have introduced this route to meet the demand for flights in and out of East London, and to support the economic growth of the Eastern Cape. We are thrilled to be able to address this need for both business and leisure customers, by making it easier and more affordable to fly to and from East London.”
