Fun with friends in Mauritius

Sharing a holiday with your good friends in the island paradise of Mauritius will leave you with memories to treasure forever, and there’s never been a better time to suggest it.

Your crew could all be there from R7999 per person sharing including flights, 7 nights’ accommodation, transfers and a selection of other activities through kulula holidays. Dominate the beaches, cruise for cocktails and try these other suggestions to make sure the fun never stops.

You’re sure to come home with stories to share around the braai for years to come.

Fun Drive & Racing

(Skydive Road, Riviere du Rempart)

Buckle up and unleash your off-road beast! Fun Drive & Racing provides a large choice of outdoor recreational activities from age 10 to adult, and off-road field trip tour options of 30 minutes, one and two hours. The two hour tour is the longest and most complete package to fully experience your Polaris vehicle, and will allow you to venture deeper into the Northern region of Mauritius to discover its hidden beauty, including waterfalls and a temple.

There will be a refreshment stop with time for a quick swim to wash off some dirt, before you put your O-Road vehicle to the test. This tour is available in a selection of vehicles for one, two or up to four persons per vehicle. You can also dare to do the Adrenaline Rush, when you and a couple of your friends can be driven by a pro driver in a powerful side-by-side vehicle for 10 exhilarating minutes!

(La Balise, Black River)

If you’ve ever wanted to captain your own ocean vessel, then assemble your motley crew and commandeer a SeaKart. A Seakart is a hybrid mini speed boat/jetski, and all you need to drive it is the throttle which can take you up to around 75kph. You can each drive alone, or two adults can drive together with one child.

Cruise around the South West coast of Mauritius on a one hour or half day guided tour, speeding your way through beautiful tropical waters. While cruising on the half day tour, your guide will make several sightseeing stops at various points of interest, such as Crystal Rock, the pristine Bénitiers Island and the famous Le Morne Brabant mountain, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Dolphins and dancing

(Royal Road, Coteau Raffin, Le Morne)

In the same beautiful area on the west of the island, you and your friends could also opt for a dolphin-watching trip. If the conditions are good and so are your swimming skills, you will be able to swim with these wild dolphins in their natural habitat.

On your tour of Bénitiers Island you will also be treated to local music and sega dancing (feel free to join in). On the lunch menu: barbequed lobster, fish, chicken and prawns, served with fresh salads, garlic bread, rice and creole sauce, washed down with jungle juice. A perfect day to share with special friends.

Golf, anyone?

(Ile Aux Cerfs Leisure Island, Trou D’eau Douce)

Good friends prove the point that no man is an island, and in Mauritius you can take all your best men and women to an island and have a great day out. Ile Aux Cerfs Leisure Island lies off Trou d’Eau Douce on the east coast of Mauritius, and the golf course there lends a whole new meaning to the term “water hazard”.

Designed by two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer, the Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club is surrounded by water, so you can have a ball with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. The golf club is accessible to players of all levels and initiation classes for beginners and non-golfers are available at the Golf Academy.
