How do I book my ticket?

The easiest and cheapest way to book a flight is online. Alternately pick up the phone and call 0861 KULULA (585852) or stroll over to your travel agent. See our booking 101 guidelines on how to book online (568 kb PDF). *

What is a kulula ID for?

We brought you kulula ID to offer convenience to our regular customers. Every time you return all you need is your user name and password, and your kulula ID remembers the rest. Your booking can be made in just a few clicks. Our PCI compliance means that your details are completely safe.

A kulula ID also links you to a travelbank account. Like any account, this is where money is kept. So if you receive compensation or have a voucher to use, it is paid into this account which you can use towards paying for a kulula flight booking.

Where can I collect my flight tickets after I've booked?

There is no paper ticket for you to worry about. All you need is your booking code and a valid ID when you check in and you’re ready to fly.

The flight that I'm looking for is not listed

The destinations in the list are all the routes we currently operate and new destinations are added over time.

Why can't I find any flights for future dates?

Our flight schedule is usually only loaded 6 months in advance. Please try again at a later stage.

Why are some tickets more expensive than others?

All flights and fares are subject to availability at the time of making your booking. Different fare classes are available and limited per flight. Lower fares sell out sooner and faster, leaving only the higher category fares available.

Why was the flight I chose not available?

Flights are only confirmed once payment has been made. The flight you chose may have already been booked and paid for.

How do I make a booking using an eVoucher or gift card?

  1. Create a kulula ID online
  2. Call our Contact Centre 0861 KULULA (585852) to set up a travelbank account

Note: Vouchers can only be redeemed on new bookings and not on changes or booking fees.

Can I still make payment after 24 hours of booking?

Bookings are cancelled automatically after 24 hours have expired and no payment has been received. To pay a new booking will have to be made.

No on-hold bookings are accepted to secure a flight if it’s within 72 hours of the departure date.

Payment methods:

  • For Secure Instant Deposits (SID) you have 1 hour from clicking ‘pay now’ to complete the booking
  • For bank deposits use the booking code as reference when you make payment. The confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after payment has been made

Can I pre-book a specific seat?

Seats are allocated only at check-in (online or at the airport) on a first come first serve basis.

Note: Parents travelling with kids or elderly persons should not sit on seats with 'Exit' marked on the headrest.

How much time should I allow for international connections?

We recommend that you allow at least 3 hours connecting time between Domestic and International flights and vice versa.

I forgot to book for my baby, what now?

If you made a flight booking and forgot to book for your infant, call our Contact Centre 0861 KULULA (585852).

Note: Infants are subject to a R130 (excl. VAT and airport taxes) fee per trip and entitled to one 20kg free checked baggage allowance plus a collapsible pushchair and a child car seat. Please produce the infant’s birth certificate at check-in. Infants cannot check in online or via the mobi site. They will sit on a guardian’s lap for the duration of a flight.

Do you offer meals or snacks on-board?

Once you’re in the air you can buy a variety of small snacks and drinks. Sandwiches, muffins, chocolates, drinks and other munchies on the menu are available.

How can I get a discount on car hire?

A 10% discount is automatically added to your car hire booking.
