how do I book my ticket?

Easy, simply give us a call and chat to one of our friendly helpers at our Contact Centre, or give your mouse a tour of our website and book online. Don't forget that booking with our Contact Centre is a bit more expensive than booking online. Lastly, you can just take a stroll over to your local travel agent or one of our airport offices.

why must I create a “kulula ID”?

If you book regularly and use the same info all the time, a kulula ID that allows you to create a profile and each time you log in we’ll remember all your details, even your credit card details. We are PCI compliant meaning your details are safe and all bookings will be done and paid for in just a few clicks.   

Should you receive any compensation or have an eVoucher a kulula ID allows you to have a travelbank account linked to your details. Travelbank is a form of payment that can be used towards a kulula flight.

where can I collect my flight tickets?

We take the hassle out of flying, so with kulula.com you won't get an actual paper ticket. Once you've made your booking you’ll receive a booking code. When you check in at the airport on the day of departure, you simply need to produce your booking code, together with your ID Book, passport or Driver's Licence and voila... you're ready to fly.

the flight that I am looking for is not listed on your homepage

The routes that appear in our drop down menu are the routes that we operate. If there is no option for the route that you require, we unfortunately do not operate that route. We are trying to take over the world using baby steps and are continuously looking for new galaxies to conquer, so watch this space for new destinations.

why can't I find any flights for future dates?

Our flight schedule is usually only loaded 6 months in advance… so don't hesitate to just give us a shout again later.

why are some tickets more expensive than others?

All flights and fares are subject to availability at the time of making your booking. We have different fare classes available: once the lower fares are sold out, seats in the next category/fare class are made available. So remember, guys - first come, first served!

why was the flight I chose not available?

The available flights are not guaranteed until final payment has been guaranteed. The flights you have chosen may have already been booked by another wanna be traveller who paid before you.

how do I make a booking using a voucher?

To redeem an eVoucher or gift card, simply call one of our friendly helpers in the Contact Centre on 0861 KULULA (585852). Create a kulula ID before you give us a call and we can set up your travelbank account quicker. Remember to tell your friends that our vouchers can only be redeemed on new bookings and not on changes of booking fees.

I didn't make payment for my booking within 24 hours, can I still make payment?

Unfortunately your booking would have been cancelled automatically after 24 hours if we did not receive your payment, so you will need to make a new booking. No on hold bookings will be accepted to secure a flight if it’s within 72 hours of the departure date.

If you’re paying with:

SID (Secure instant deposit) you have an hour from clicking pay now to complete the booking or your booking will be cancelled. 

Bank deposit payments must have the booking code as a reference when you make payment. The confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after payment has been made, sometimes this can be delayed.

can I pre-book a specific seat?

Our seats are allocated at check-in on a first come, first serve basis. However, we can't guarantee you a specific seat number prior to check in. Parents travelling with kids, or elderly persons, should not sit on seats with 'exit' marked on the headrest. Online checkin and mobi check in allows you to select a seat before you check in.

how much time should I allow for international connections?

We know you love flying with us and never want to leave, but we strongly recommend that you allow at least 3 hours connecting time between Domestic and International flights, and vice versa.

forgot to book your infant?

If you made a flight booking and forgot to book your little angel please call our Contact Centre on 0861 KULULA (585852) for further assistance. 
Infants are subject to a R125 (Incl. VAT) fee per trip and entitled to one 20kg free checked baggage allowance plus a collapsible pushchair and a child car seat. Infants must be accompanied by a guardian and will sit on a lap for the duration of a flight. We will need to see a birth certificate at check in. Infants cannot check in online or on our mobi site.

do you offer any yummy snacks on-board?

Our flights offer a comprehensive mixture of hot and cold drinks, as well as, some tasty snacks including sandwiches, muffins and many more. All these goodies can be purchased on-board the flight at an additional cost so bring some cash along. Check out our on-board menu

how do I get 10% discount on car hire?

A 10% discount is automatically added to your car hire booking.
